Shining Star International School L.L.C. (“SSIS”, “the school”), Shabiya 12, Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is responsible for the personal details collected through this website. Questions about this notice go to info@ssis.ae.

Applying online: your child's details (name, date of birth, gender, nationality, identity numbers if you give them, previous school, any support or medical needs you tell us about) and the parents' names, relationship, phone, email and occupation. We use them to process the application, assess your child, make an offer and enrol your child, and to meet ADEK's registration requirements.

Booking a visit: your name, phone, email, the grade you are interested in and, if you give it, your child's name. We use them to arrange and confirm the visit and to follow up your enquiry.

Contact form, transfer certificate requests and complaints: your name, email, phone if you give it, and your message. We use them to reply and to handle your request.

The age checker and fee estimator work entirely in your browser: the date of birth and choices you enter are not sent to the school.

Everything you send through the website goes directly into the school's own management system, which the school office uses to run admissions, visits and messages. It is not shared with advertisers and never sold.

Your application's tracking page is opened only by the private link the school sends you. It shows your own application and nothing about anyone else.

The admissions team, the principal and the office staff who handle your request. Support and medical notes are seen only by the admissions and inclusion team and, after enrolment, the staff who need them to care for your child.

The school shares details with ADEK and CBSE where the law or the board's rules require it, for example to register a pupil.

Applications that do not lead to enrolment, visit bookings and messages are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for the school's records, then deleted. A child who joins SSIS has a school record, kept as ADEK requires.

You may ask to see the details the school holds about you, to correct them, or to have them deleted where the school is not required to keep them. Write to info@ssis.ae.

You can withdraw an application at any time from its tracking page.

To ask for a photograph of your child to be removed from this website, write to the school and it will be taken down.
